Graduating from Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA) in 1974 with a B.S. in Interior Design was the beginning of a design career that eventually led to the design and fabrication of handmade custom rugs. Shortly after graduation Robert started what was to be a twenty two year period of varying design projects including interiors, stained glass design and fabrication, custom rugs, hand painted fabrics and paintings in several fine arts exhibits.

Projects were completed in Belgium, France, England, Holland, Spain, Norway, and Germany. Returning to the USA in 1986, Robert started a custom rug studio that is now fifteen years in the making, working directly with individual clients, through retail stores, and through a select group of interior design firms. Projects have been completed in private residences, corporate locations, public and government spaces in Canada, Australia, Japan, Europe and throughout the U.S.A.
